A *PhD forum* is organized for December 20, 2016 at WILF2016

The aim of the PhD Forum of WILF 2016 is to provide PhD students at all stages of their research a supportive environment to discuss their research proposal, practices and methods, and to promote networking and collaboration. The PhD Forum is an opportunity for students to obtain helpful feedback of their research from leading academics and practitioners in the conference related themes, like *Softcomputing* and *Deep Learning*.

PhD students are invited to submit an abstract of their oral presentations to the email address The abstract should include at least the author, the title and a brief description of the work within the plan for the overall PhD or, if already ready, the presentation in pdf. The presentation should cover the problem, motivating scenario and research challenges, state of the art, methodology, current Status, full research plan.

The partecipation of PhD students to the forum is fully free. A committee will decide about two best presentations and the authors will be tributed with an award consisting in a *plaque*, a *cash prize* and the chance to submit their papers to the special issue of the *Information Sciences* journal.
